ASSETS
Dear Community of Learners,
Escuela Popular intends to apply for California 21st Century After
School Safety and Enrichment for Teens (ASSETs) funding for its High School
19 and Under Academy. This funding is made available through the California
Department of Education and is for establishing or expanding after school
learning centers that provide students with academic enrichment and
activities that compliment the regular academic program. In addition, the
program will offer students' families literacy services and provide a safe
place for kids while parents work. Escuela Popular will submit its application
by March 12, 2007.
