DESCRIPTION OF SCHOOL
Escuela Popular (EP) was founded in 1986 as a grassroots, community-based school to meet the growing demand for English instruction in East San Jose. Over the years, EP has expanded significantly, now serving over 800 students across three age-appropriate programs.
Our students are predominantly Latino, many from Spanish-speaking households. EP’s Elementary School (K-8) implements a Two-Way Dual Language Immersion program, with Spanish as the target language. Our high school programs include:
● Under 19 High School Program: Serves students ages 14-19.
● Over 19 High School Program: Serves adult learners in morning and evening classes, offering childcare services for students who need them.
Hello. I am currently enrolled in a program through Reach University. This program will allow me to earn a Master of Arts in Teaching degree as well as a preliminary multiple subjects credential. I am trying to obtain a teaching position so that I can maintain my enrollment in the program. I will finish the program after this upcoming school year, and I am very much open to continuing my employment here beyond that if I am fortunate enough to be hired.
Hello,
Thank for your interest in working for Escuela Popular. Please send your resume to the HR department at hr@escuelapopular.org.
